Seismic Inspections
CRES can evaluate the structural frame of your home or building for structural integrity.
Ceiling and wall cracks are produced by a variety of reasons, such as being temperature or humidity related or an indication of a serious structural concern.
CRES provides an educated opinion to determine if your situation is a result of installation errors or signs of a changing structural condition. CRES’s expertise in building systems is often requested when a client needs someone to establish the cause and origin of a failure and determine how best to remedy the problem. We do not decide whether defects are covered by insurance, but render an opinion as to what caused a problem and what can be done to resolve it.
Upon completion of the evaluation, you will receive a full written report of our findings, including opinions to the suspected cause and photographs to aid in understanding and identifying the subject matter discussed in the report. Engineering drawings and sketches are often added to the report for additional clarification or as a remediation illustration. Repair recommendations, suggestions, or remediation are always included when appropriate.
CRES, can design repairs specific to your situation as well as recommend products to use for the repair. Some repairs can be completed by the homeowner, while other repairs require professional installation. Our reports are prepared for our client’s benefit and in strict confidence. A report prepared by CRES will not be re-produced or reused for the benefit of others without permission from the client.
We are always available for telephone support regarding your report interpretation and clarification.
